  • Participation in the European Symposium on Food Safety

    In the context of the European Symposium on Food Safety organized by International Association of Food Protection in Budapest, Hungary from 7-9 May 2014, the research team of FungalPrognosis will contribute to the congress with one poster presentation entitled “Probabilistic models for the effect of temperature, water activity and sodium metabisulphite concentration on the growth and OTA production boundaries of Aspergillus carbonarius isolated from Greek wine grapes”.

  • Presentations at the 4th National Conference "Biotechnology and Food Technology"

    In the context of the 4th National Conference "Biotechnology and Food Technology" organized jointly by the Association of Greek Chemists and the Association of Greek Chemical Engineers in Athens from 11-13 October 2013, the research team of FungalPrognosis will contribute to the congress with two oral and one poster presentations. Oral presentations will be given by Dr. D. Kizis, a post-doctoral fellow, on the application of molecular techniques in the characterization of Aspergillus isolates in Greek grapes. The second oral presentation will be given by Ι. Ioannidis, an undergraduate student, on rapid analysis for fungal growth and OTA production of Aspergillus carbonarius using turbidimetric measurements.  

  • Presentation of the project in the 5th Congress of the Scientific Society "Mikroviokosmos"

    In the context of the 5th Panhellenic Congress of the Scientific Society "Mikroviokosmos" that was organized by the Agricultural University of Athens from 13-15 December 2012, a detailed presentation of the project was given by the project coordinator Dr. E. Panagou. The presentation was given within a special session of the congress on «Competitive research projects funded by National and EU sources – THALIS & ARISTEIA».

The project "Design and development of innovative tools for the detection of ochratoxigenic fungi in wine and table grapes - FungalPrognosis_242" has been co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund – ESF) and Greek national funds through the Operational Program "Education and Lifelong Learning" of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) - Research Funding Program: ARISTEIA-I.
